தமிழ்நாடு விளையாட்டு மாநாடு 2.0 – 2025ஐ தொடங்கி வைத்தார் துணை முதலமைச்சர் உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின்

சென்னை: தமிழ்நாடு துணை முதலமைச்சர் உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின் இன்று (16.12.2025) சென்னையில், விளையாட்டு வீரர் மேம்பாடு, பயிற்சி முறைகள், விளையாட்டு அறிவியல், விளையாட்டு ஊட்டச்சத்து, உளவியல், விளையாட்டு உலகில் செயற்கை நுண்ணறிவு, பயிற்சி மற்றும் உயர் செயல்திறன் சூழலியல், விளையாட்டுப் பகுப்பாய்வு, 2036 ஒலிம்பிக் தொலைநோக்குத் திட்டம், விளையாட்டு மருத்துவம் உள்ளிட்டவை குறித்து மாவட்ட விளையாட்டு அலுவலர்கள், பயிற்சியாளர்கள் மற்றும் முன்னணி விளையாட்டு வீரர், வீராங்கனைகளுக்கு பயிற்சி அளிப்பதற்கான தமிழ்நாடு விளையாட்டு மாநாடு 2.0 – 2025ஐ தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.

இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் தமிழ்நாடு விளையாட்டு மேம்பாட்டு ஆணையத்தின் அனைத்து விளையாட்டு விடுதி வீரர், வீராங்கனைகளுக்கான பயிற்சி, உடல்திறன், நல்வாழ்வு தரவுகளைக் கொண்டு செயல்திறன் பகுப்பாய்வு மற்றும் திட்டமிடுவதை அடிப்படையாக கொண்ட அத்லெட் மேலாண்மை அமைப்பையும் (ATHLETE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM) தமிழ்நாடு துணை முதலமைச்சர் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.

Good morning to everybody present here.

It gives me immense pleasure to launch the Tamil Nadu Sports Conclave
2.0 – 2025, a premier initiative of the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu.

I am also happy to have launched today in front of you, the Athlete Management System at a cost of Rs.5 crores, which was announce in the budget by Hon’ble Chief Minister.

For the first time, we are bringing together training, wellness, performance, and medical insights into a single, intelligent digital platform.

Today we have the esteemed guests, the legendary Indian hockey player Thiru. P.R.Sreejesh and Kamalini of Indian women’s Cricket team here among stars. Thiru. Sreejesh played an crucial role as both the Captain and Goalkeeper of the Indian Men’s Hockey Team. Hockey fans fondly call him “The Great Wall of the Indian Hockey” because of his great goalkeeping skills.

With his talent, strong leadership, and firmly saves, India won Olympic bronze medals at Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024. His style of play and dedication continue to inspire millions of sports lovers across the country. As a coach of Indian Junior Hockey team, he guided the team win bronze in the recently held Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup 2025 in Chennai.

We are also delighted to have the most talented women cricketer of a time Kamalini, on this very stage today. Through her hard work and determination, Kamalini was selected for the Indian Under-19 Women’s team, which went on to win the World Cup later. In the finals, she made both the nation and our Tamil Nadu very proud by emerging as the man of player of the match.

Her journey towards teaches every young athlete that with this with her hard work, discipline, and good support, big dreams can indeed come true. I thank and wish both Sreejesh and Kamalini for future endeavours a great success.

Since 2023, TASCon has emerged as a powerful platform for the exchange of ideas, innovation, and inspiration in our sports development. Tascon focuses on various parameters like grassroots developments, elite performance, science and technology, policy and partnerships.

விளையாட்டுத்துறையை பொறுத்தவரைக்கும் முக்கியம் வாய்ந்த பல்வேறு நடவடிக்கைகளை நம்முடைய அரசு, நம்முடைய முதலமைச்சர் அவர்களின் அறிவுறுத்தலின்படி தொடர்ந்து
எடுத்து வருகின்றோம்.

We are proud to note that Chief Minister’s Trophy tournament has emerged as Tamil Nadu’s Olympics. Our Honourable Chief Minister allocated Rs. 35 crores just prize money and about 15 lakh participants took part in the CM Trophy tournament last year.

CM trophy tournament மூலமாக கிராமப்புறங்களில் உள்ள விளையாட்டுத்துறை திறமையாளர்கள், முக்கியமாக மாற்றுத்திறன் வீரர்களையும் நாம் தொடர்ந்து அடையாளம் கண்டு வருகின்றோம்.

To establish sporting infrastructure across the state, we are constructing the Chief Minister’s Mini Stadium in all constituencies of the state, each at a cost of Rs.3 crores with minimum five sporting facilities.

After our government assumed office in 2021, Tamil Nadu has been hosting several national and international events. Recently, we have hosted the Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup in Chennai and Madurai. Likewise, we conducted the SDAT Squash World Cup in Chennai, where India emerged as the champion.

எப்படி சர்வதேச போட்டிகளை தமிழ்நாட்டில் வெற்றிகரமாக நடத்தி வருகின்றமோ, அதே மாதிரி, பல சர்வதேச போட்டிகளில் இன்றைக்கு தமிழ்நாட்டு வீரர்களும், வீராங்கனைகளும் தொடர்ந்து வெற்றிகளைக் குவித்து வருகிறார்கள், சாதனைகளை படைத்து வருகிறார்கள்.

நேற்றைக்கு Squash World Cupல் இந்திய அணியில் வெற்றி பெற்ற வீரர்கள் நான்கு பேரில், மூன்று பேர் நம்முடைய தமிழ்நாட்டைச் சார்ந்தவர்கள், அத்தனைபேரையும் உடனடியாக முதலமைச்சர் அழைத்து பாராட்டியிருக்கிறார்கள்.

அதே போல, உலக கோப்பை கேரம் போட்டியில், சென்னையைச் சேர்ந்த தங்கைகள் கீர்த்தனா, காசிமா, மித்ரா ஆகியோர் தொடர்ந்து பதக்கங்களைப் பெற்றிருக்கிறார்கள். சாதனைகளை படைத்து வருகிறார்கள்.

We are providing financial assistance to players through the Tamil Nadu champions foundation even before they are participating in major events. We also encourage them with High Cash incentives after they win the medals.

அதே போல, விளையாட்டுத்துறையில் சிறந்து விளங்குகின்ற விளையாட்டு வீரர்களுக்கு, Sports Quota-வில் 3 சதவீதம் இட ஒதுக்கீட்டின் மூலம், உடனடியாக அரசு வேலைகளையும் எவ்வளவு சீக்கிரம் முடியுமோ வழங்குகின்றோம்.

Last year, we gave more than 100 jobs to the sports persons in Tamil Nadu, for the first time in the history of Tamil Nadu. This year as well, our Hon’ble Chief Minister given as a target minimum 100 athletes including 25 para-athletes to be given government jobs this year.

The initiatives taken by Tamil Nadu Government are receiving recognition from various quarters. I am proud to share that last week, our government, our department received two back-to-back awards. One of it was CII’s Business Sports Award 2025, where out state Tamil Nadu received the “Best State Promoting Sports Development Award”.

Recently, 3 days back FICCI also honoured SDAT with a special recognition award in their Turf 2025 sports award function. I would like to highlight that in the last three years, our department bagged 6 awards for its performance in sports development.

இது வெறும் நம்முடைய விளையாட்டுத் துறைக்கு கிடைக்கின்ற ஒரு விருதாக மட்டும் நாங்கள் நினைக்கவில்லை. நம்முடைய மாநிலத்திலிருந்து செயல்படுகின்ற, தொடர்ந்து சாதனைகள் படைக்கின்ற விளையாட்டு வீரர்களுக்கு கிடைக்கின்ற ஒரு அங்கீகாரமாகத்தான் நாங்கள் இந்த விருதுகளை பார்க்கின்றோம். ஆகவே, அதன் தொடர்ச்சியாகத்தான் இந்த கருத்தரங்கை 2வது வருடமாக தொடர்ந்து நடத்தி வருகின்றோம்.

Over the next two days, participants will engage in thought-provoking panel discussions and keynote sessions led by some of the finest minds in the sporting world. I am especially pleased to see focused discussions on Women in Sports, Para Sports, Athlete Safety, and Sports Psychology.

The Government of Tamil Nadu remains fully committed to strengthening sports infrastructure, scientific support systems, coaching excellence and policy frameworks. We strongly believe that progress in sports is never achieved alone. Its go in to be attempt team effort.

Tascon is a platform where ideas turn into action and vision turns into reality. I urge all participants to make the most of these two days, learn openly, network meaningfully and return with renewed purpose.
